Blyth Memorial
Hall in the
midst of major
renovations

Blyth's Memorial Hall is
well into its renovations,
which have been pegged at
S4,127,000.
Renovations on the hall
started last fall and will he
completed by the end of
April for the 2017 season.
'Ihe renovations are spear-
headed by the Blyth Arts and
Cultural Initiative 14/19 Inc.
The project is being funded
by provincial and federal
grants, as well as locally fun-
draised dollars (including
the legion and legion ladies
auxiliary) and $500,000 from
North Huron.
Monies are also being
collected through a seat
sale that is ongoing; each
seat in the theatre is availa-
ble to he sponsored by a
patron to have their name
on a seat.
There are a number of
improvements being done
to the building. These
include an extended and
improved lobby, new
sound and lighting equip-
ment, redone bathrooms,
in -floor heating in the
lower level and courtyard, a
new kitchen, new HVAC, an
improved balcony, new
seats and more.
