Clinton and District Kinsmen Club
It's that time of the year again, for the much anticipated
Kinsmen TV Auction hosted jointly by the Goderich
and Clinton Kinsmen and Kinette Clubs. Get ready
to do some bidding folks! First of all, I would like to
say a big thank you to all of the local businesses and
individuals that support this very important event
in our annual fund raising activities. Without your
ongoing commitment and support; :this project would
not be possible.
Founded in 1952, The Clinton and District Kinsmen
Club will be celebrating their 65th anniversary. I'd like
to give a special thanks to the past and current Kinsmen
that have helped make this outstanding achievement
possible. Many thingshave changed over the years'
but the one thing that will always remain, will be the
commitment we all have to "Serving the Community's
Greatest Need."
As well as the TV Auction, some: of our other projects
that the Clinton Kinsmen are involved with each year
include:
The Santa Claus Parade, Ladies Night, Easter Egg
Hunt, Community Breakfast, PlucKinFest, Hospital
Radiothon Breakfast, Arena Signs, Hall Rentals, Super
Bowi Draw, Hockey Pool and the list goes on
Day by day we're slowly getting closer to the warmer
temperatures, . and that means we are getting closer to
our local favourite event called. PlucKinFest. This year
will be something special with Canada turning the
big 150. The town has formed a committee to put
on some birthday celebrations which will fall on the
same.' weekend as PlucKinFest. PlucKinFest will still
have your favourite events such as the street dance, ball
tournament, kids events, and of course the unofficial
World's Largest Holey Board .Tournament with the
added bonus of Canada's birthday celebrations. Don't
forget to mark your calendar for July 7, 8 & 9th
The funds raised from these events goes back into many
different areas of our community. We support the
new Central Huron Community Complex, Hospital
Foundation, many local sporting teams, schools, clubs,
and the list goes on.
If you are interested in . becoming a member of the
Clinton Kinsmen Club. Please contact a member in

Happy bidding!
Yours in Kin,
Club President

Greetings from the Kinette Club of Goderich
The Goderich Kinette Club is a club with a wonderful group of women from the
Town of Goderich and local area. We have dedicated active members that work
hard to serve our local community. It's not just about working hard though, we
have a lot of fun together too.
We work to raise funds for local youth organizations, charities and Cystic Fibrosis
research. We recently had a very successful "Sweethearts Culinary Adventure"
raffle and we have some exciting upcoming projects in the works for the Fall. In
March, we help out with the Auction and July will find us assisting the Goderich
Kinsmen with Summerfest.
The Goderich Kinette Club meets the second Thursday of the month with
social time prior to and after each meeting for those who wish to stay. Our Social
Convener is always busy planning socials and outings for us monthly or bimonth-
ly. If you are interested in becoming a Kinette or would like to join us for a meet-
ing to see what we're all about you can talk to any Goderich Kinette member or
call Patti Lamb, 519-524-1414.
