Bowl for Kids Sake
1111 Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Huron's
Ar most important fundraising event
Bowl For Kids Sake is Big
Brothers Big Sisters of North
Huron's most important fund-
raising event to support the
delivery of local children and
youth mentoring services. The
campaign is community -driven
and culminates in bowling
events. Friends, family, cow-
orkers, local businesses, politi-
cians and media put teams
together and collect pledges.
The teams then attend a local
bowling centre to bowl and
have fun in support. of Big
Brothers Big Sisters' mentoring'
programs for children and
youth. You could say Bowl For
Kids Sake is a "fun raising"
event for people who want to
help kids get the support they
need.
All funds raised in the com-
munity stay in the community,
and the goal is to provide the
financial resources to ensure
that every child in the agency's
service area who needs a Big
Brother or Big Sister has one.
Bowl For Kids Sake is an
opportunity for businesses and
individuals to make a difference
in their community by forming
teams and gathering pledges or
making donations. People want-
ing to form a team or donate can
call Big Brothers Big Sisters of
North Huron at (519) 524-4361.
Forming a team is a four -step
process. Contact your local
agency; put together a teach of
four to six people; raise funds by
using a pledge form; then come
out to the BFKS event and have
a great time bowling. Our
theme this year is Canada 150
Birthday Party, so participants
are encouraged to dress -up in
red and white costumes. All
participants. are eligible for
numerous prizes.
There is a real need for child
and youth mentoring. This is
true in Huron County and
right across Canada. Right
now, Big Brothers Big Sisters of
North Huron has about 13
children and youth on the
agency's waiting list for a Big
Brother or Sister, and some
have to wait as long as two
years. The funds raised by
Bowl For Kids Sake are crucial
'to connecting these kids with
mentors that will help them
learn, grow and succeed.
What if one company
could solve all your
business needs?
We can connect all the pieces
in more ways than ever before.

Last year, Bowl For Kids Sake
raised $17,500.00 in Big Broth-
ers Big Sisters of North Huron's
service area. This year the agen-
cy's goal is $20,000. Reaching
this goal will require a strong
effort because of the economic
downturn, and the agency
needs the support of donors
now more than ever.
All of Big Brothers Big Sisters'
mentors are volunteers. The
funds raised by Bowl For Kids
Sake go exclusively to recruiting
Bigs and delivering local men-
toring services.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of
North Huron encourages indi-
viduals and teams to get
involved by collecting pledges,
dressing in costume and ng either the Little Bowl in
Goderich on Friday, 24 March,
2017 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
or the Lucknow Bowl on Satur-
day, 25 March, 2017 from 12:30
p.m. - 5:30 p.m. A minimum of
$50.00 in pledges is required,
which gives each participant 2
free games of bowling + shoe
rental and eligibility for numer-
ous prizes. A change of shoes.
can make a difference in the
