Position openings include: one (1) full-time, permanent administration position and one (1) full-time maternity leave coverage administration position. Both' positions will require the selected candidate to work in VHS's Bayfield office, with positions commencing as soon as possible. Administration — Customer Service and Support (Full-time, permanent) The successful applicant will act as the initial point of contact, sales representative, and "director of first impressions" for all general VHS inquiries from students, parents, teachers and other individuals or institutions. Duties will include answering telephone and email inquiries, providing information about the school to potential customers, helping to resolve administrative issues, directing calls to appropriate departments, and assisting with other administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and related projects, as necessary. This role requires a propensity to problem solve and communicate in a tactful manner within a team environment. A positive approach and willingness to adapt to changing demands will be essential in this role. Administration — Assistant Registrar - (Full-time, maternity coverage) The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the Admissions team in addressing the needs of students as they begin and finish courses with VHS. Duties include assisting with enrolling and unenrolling students, administering course extensions, sending letters to schools and post -secondary institutions, database administration, and addressing inquiries from new and prospective students. This role involves working effectively as part of a team to address issues, solve problems, and develop efficiencies. Candidates applying for either role must demonstrate excellent oral and written skills, as communicating with students, parents, teachers and staff will be ongoing. Additionally, VHS's open office environment encourages ongoing collaboration among team members on a host of issues. Experience in a secondary school or post -secondary school office environment will be considered an asset in these administration roles, particularly in relation to student admissions, records, and reports.
