Dungannon and St. Helen's news Goderich Duplicate
On Jan. 12 there were 10
out for the coffee hour at the
senior centre. You know, you
don't have to be a senior to
come for coffee and meet
your neighbours. Remem-
ber, someday you might be a
senior and our centre needs
all the support it can get.
The Carlow Store is closed
for renovations. We can't
wait to see what will be going
in there. I hope the big bear
stays out front.
I am told if you need some
of Linda McNees' home bak-
ing you will have to go to her
house.
They tell me that Jean Err-
ington is the eldest citizen in
our village. Eleven days older
than George. Congratula-
tions, Jean!
Along with a store and res-
taurant or cafe it would he
nice if we had a barber
around, even part time. As it
is, I have to go to Mike in
Goderich at Mike and Ray's
shop on the Square on
Goderich. He opens at 5:30
a.m. and closes at 1 p.m.
On the way to town this
morning I saw a county
front-end loader pushing
back the snow piles near
Carlow accompanied by a
couple of flagmen. I guess
they are expecting more
snow. Maybe a lot of it. Here
we snow again!
Levi Miller of Miller's Win-
dows and Doors is busy
painting window frames a
bright red. I can't get much
news from St. Helen's as the
roads and some lanes have
been impassable for me.
We have three wild rabbits
that come for cob corn just
about every night. I think we
have the fattest rabbits around.
We heard this morning
that Mike McNee of Albert
St. won the Dungannon light
contest. Congratulations to
the winner.
