Editor, Goderich Signal Star The Goderich Signal Star is looking for a full-time editor for immediate employment. The Signal Star serves the Town of Goderich and surrounding areas. Goderich, on the shore of Lake Huron, has a vibrant business community and is the county seat for Huron County. The editor's position is ideal for a candidate with a broad range of interests and abilities. Writing, photography, web -based news gathering and social media engagement are all part of the job. The editor is also partly responsible for Huron County Focus, a free distribution newspaper serving Huron County that comes out every two weeks. Job Duties/Qualifications: • Ensure news coverage of Goderich and area. • Produces stories, photos and other content for The Signal Star and other Postmedia publications. • Energetic reporter with excellent writing and interviewing skills. • Self-starter, willing and able to generate ideas. • Able to work flexible hours. • Strong interest in a variety of areas, including feature writing, general news and spot news. • Photography. • Comfortable with producing content for the web. • Applicants should own a reliable vehicle and camera.
