HARRISON, Henry Malcolm - It is with great sadness that we
announce the passing of Malcolm Harrison, aged 86, on December
24, 2016, in Toronto, Ontario. A long-time resident of Goderich,
Ontario, he will be lovingly remembered by: his children Susan
(William Kanko) and Michael (Lily Huang); and grandchildren,
Jordan, Sarah, Lauren, Robert, and Amy. Malcolm was
predeceased by his wife Barbara Galt (Wilson) Harrison. Malcolm
was born in Chester, U.K., and a graduate of the University of
Manchester. Malcolm was a naval officer; first in the Royal Navy
and then in the Canadian Navy, where he met his wife, Barbara, an
officer in the Royal Canadian Navy Reserves. After retiring from the
Navy, Malcolm worked for Bell Canada in Toronto and.lived with
Barb and their children in Mississauga. He served two terms as the
president of the Rotary club's Mississauga chapter and remained
an active member after he retired 'to Goderich. Malcolm also
dedicated his time to the community through environmental
projects, the creation of outdoor recreation areas, and participation
in local health organizations. In Goderich, he worked hard for the
community's health services and helped build the Y and a network
of trails. He and his wife were also active supporters of the
Goderich library. In Mississauga, Malcolm was a scout leader and a
supporter of the local science fairs. Arrangements have been
entrusted to the TURNER & PORTER "BUTLER" CHAPEL,

LONEY, Richard Thomas - 91, of Goderich, passed away
unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Alexandra
Marine and General Hospital. He will be greatly missed by his
loving wife, Elsie and their 5 children; Bruce (Bev), Linda (Rick),
Gord, Diane (Will), Rich (Terri-lynn) and their six grandsons;
Jason (Sarah), Scott (Melanie), Travis (Rachel), Garrett (Natasha),
Nelson (Chelsey), and Wesley (Kelly) who loved their "Poppa;
along with many nieces and nephews. Richard was born in
Toronto on February 17, 1925, the 4th of six in the Loney family.
He served in the Royal Canadian Navy 1943-1945 and attended
Western University and worked for Thompson Publishing and
MacLaren Hunter Publishing. He and Elsie were married in 1953
and in 1960 moved to the Ottawa area where they raised their fami-
ly and started their company, Metro Ottawa Delivery. After 42 years
they decided to retire and after travelling far and wide, they made
Goderich home in 2002. Richard enjoyed the lake, the beach, the
Square and was a familiar face to many around town. He had
recently been recovering from knee replacement surgery, was
doing very well and had been looking forward to dancing on New
Year's Eve. Richard was a devoted husband, father and "Poppa°
who will be missed by many. Donations in memory of Richard can

MUNROE, Thelma Doreen -
Of Georgetown and formerly of Goderich passed away suddenly at
Georgetown Hospital on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at the age of
81 years. Doreen is predeceased by her husband of 56 years
Gordon Munroe. She was the much loved mother of Cheryl
Munroe -Wick (Charles Wick) of Goderich, Shelley (Dave) Chapin
and Vicki Munroe (Bob Gibbons). She was the adored Grandma of
Craig Charlton (Rebecca), Kurtis Wick, Fraser Wick, Philip Wick -
Munroe, Sarah Chapin, Chandler, Natalie and Joland Oke and
Rylan Gibbons. Great -Grandma to Keagan, Madeline, Avery,
Presley, Charlie and Munroe. Funeral arrangements entrusted to
McCALLUM AND PALLA FUNERAL HOME, Goderich. Spring
internment Maitland Cemetery, Goderich. Donations may be made
to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Salvation Army and may
be arranged through McCallum & Palla Funeral Home
