With ha.f of the team being brand new to curling, everyone exhibited some great improvement At this Nfunspier,, the teams had a chance to play against the opposite sex. This was a great experience for everyone as male and female teams often tend to play the game quite differently. Both teams kept the game very close but the skip from CUSS make a tricky shot, securing her team a 4 point lead over the boys in the 5th end. Despite Skip Wyatt Filby's attempt at a triple takeout, the boys could not win back the lost points in the 6th. In the first round, GDCI Girls 1, played CHSS Boys 2, a mut more experienced team, and struggled to win any ends. The girls went on to play CHSS Girls 2. This was much more evenly matched game with both teams being calm - posed of brand new leads and seconds and first time vices and skips. The game was close up until the last end but the GDCI girls managed to secure the win. • GDCt Boys 2 lost their first game against LDSS Girls 2 despite some very accurate shooting from skip David Gauthier. The boys a faced a new LDSS Girls 3 team in their next game and secured a win. GDCI Girls 2 struggled with their new positions andfor some, the new game.
