During the first intermission, the Goderich
Timbits hockey team took to the ice to play a
game and entertain the crowd.
Whether it was the televised game or
the fact it was their rival team, the
Goderich Pirates put on a show Satur-
day night at the Maitland Rec Center
when they played the Clinton Radars.
The Radars Jumped out to a 4-0 lead in
the first period, making it seem like
they were in. control. But when all
seemed lost, the Pirates bounced back
and scored four of their own to de the
game 4-4 heading into the third. While
Clinton scored one more in the third to
win it, the Pirates played one of the
most exciting games of the season so
far. The Goderich Ir. "C" Sailors were
also part of the televised Hockey Night
In Goderich Saturday night and were
up against the Wingham Ironmen. The
game was fast paced and physical right
of the first faceofi, and while the game
provided to be entertaining, the results
were slightly less so, with the Sailors
losing 8-1. Brandon Dykxhoorn
notched the Sailors' lone marker off
Josh Martel and Edon Primp.
Goderich was treated to live hockey
Saturday night with 'Hockey Night In
Goderich" being broadcast by Eastlink
TV. While both Goderich teams lost,
the crowd was treated to some of the
most fast paced and entertaining
hockey of the season so far.
