Student cabinet has intro- duced the first ever "Movem- ber Competition" in the school to raise money for prostate cancer and encour- age the students to partici- pate in any way they can. Students have a chance to win a great Movember prize pack, or to earn the title of having the best, or most orig- inal facial hair in the halls of St. Anne's. On Thursday, November 10th, the school hosted a Remembrance Day assembly and invited students from our partner schools, and vet- erans from the local legion who spoke to the student. body. The presentations were created by students from the school's history and drama classes in dedication towards soldiers who have fought in the past wars. These presentations included skits, songs, and dances, as well as some visual presentations which allowed all in attend- ance to reflect upon what sol- diers have done and sacri- ficed for our nation, and we continue to remember these actions. The school .would like to recognize Ms. Cale, Mme. Glavin, Ms. Brennan- Yeo, Mrs. Van Bakel and the other staff members who always make our Remem- brance Day assembly such a great success. The, school continues to prepare for the crowded schedule ahead, as Novem- ber 13th to 19th is Bullying Awareness Prevention Week, and teachers are busy pre- paring mid-term report cards to hand out later in Novem- ber, Additionally, Student Cabinet is working hard to organize this year's fall Cof- fee House which will be held on the evening of November 16th, .featuring talents from around the school in a "cafe" styled environment.
