Legion rededicated following building repair
Following the Remembrance Day service in Courthouse Park Friday, the Royal Canadian
Legion Branch 109 celebrated the re -dedication of their home at the junction of Kingston
and Stanley Streets in Goderich. The structure was damaged during the August 21
tornado, and repair work to the building's roof has now been completed. Legion Chaplain
Archdeacon Allan Livingstone led a small service at the branch and thanked those in
attendance for gathering to celebrate 109s rightful place in the community.
"On this day we do hereby dedicate this building in God's name ... none of this work would
be possible without the people," Livingstone said.
Outsider a Memorial Stone within the Branch's Memorial Garden was too dedicated "To the
Legion Ladies' Auxiliary members and friends who have gone before us."
