conducted a traffic stop on London Road, south
of Exeter and upon speaking to the female
driver the officer observed her to be under the
influence of alcohol. She was subsequently
arrested and transported to the Stratford .Police
Services detachment to meet with a qualified
!ntoxilizer Technician In order to provide two
samples of her breath.
The results of the two tests confirmed that the
driver had a blood alcohol level that was above
the legal limit of 80 milligrams of alcohol.
As a result of the investigation, a 46 -year-old
South Huron woman has been charged with
one count of Drive With Over 80 Milligrams.
She will answer to her charge in the Ontario
Court of Justice - Exeter on January 9, 2011
At approximately 10.50 pm, on November 4,
a Huron County OPP officer was conducting
patrols and conducted a traffic stop on James
Street in Brussels. Upon speaking to the male
driver the officer observed him to be under the
influence of alcohol. He was arrested and trans-
ported to the Goderich detachment to meet
with a qualified Intoxilizer Technidan in order
to provide two samples of his breath.
Vehicle stolen along Amberley Road
On November 5, 2011 at approximately 9:50
a.m., a female parked her black 2003 Pontiac
Montana minivan bearing ON plates AXYW 196
at a former restaurant located on Amberley Rd.
Two hours later the owner returned to find her
vehicle had been stolen. The owner Indicated
the van was parked with the doors locked.

incident should immediately contact the Huron

On Saturday, November 5, 2011 on Huron Rd.
at approximately 4:31a.rn., an OPP officer
observed a westbound red 2005 Ford F-150 Pick
Up truck travelling at a high rate of speed. The
driver failed to stop for police and led police on a
22 kilometre pursuit. The driver drove the F -15C
off the roadway into a cornfield near Mill Rd. in
Bluewater, ON. The driver exited the truck and
fled on foot. An OPP K9 handier and dog
assisted in the search for the driver however the
driver was not located. The pickup truck was
stolen from Perth County.
Later that day a witness observed a suspicious
sand coloured 1990's model Buick Century or
similar type vehicle driving slowlyalong the
cornfield. A lone male emerged from the corn-
field
orn-field and was picked up. The driver and passen-
ger left the area travelling north on Babylon
Line.
Huron OPP is attempting to identify the
involved persons.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime
Unit are pointing their fingers at vehicle own-
ers for contributing to criminal activity
throughout West Region. Recent OPP statistics
and interviews with arrested parties clearly
show that thieves are targeting unlocked vehi-
cles and All Terrain Vehicles (ATV) with keys
left in the ignition.
Since September there have been 18 vehi-
cles stolen in Huron County, 19 stolen vehicles
in South Bruce County and another 21 stolen
vehides in Perth County.
These vehicles are being used in the com-
mission of other criminal acts such as thefts,
break and enters and robberies: "In several
instances the vehicles have been used to ram
police cruisers in an attempt to injure officers
while avoiding capture!" - A/Detective Inspec-
