Jessica Hewitt, 8, does her best to represent the White Oak tree slated to be planted in this exact place within lions
Harbour Park this month as part of the Releaf project. On November 12, councillor Michele Hansen along with
Planner Denise Van Amersfoort hosted Releaf in Harbour Park, a special look at plans to replant the public space.
Hewitt did her part to help the project along by making and seNIng handcrafted bracelet's, bookmarks and key chains.
She raised $506.51 that has gone toward the cost of new trees for the community. Read more on page 23.

When weather and. clash,
how do people stay
University of Waterloo student
Amber Silver is looking at how
Goderich resideMs connected before,
during and aim the August 21• tor-
nado. A Behavior' Geography stu-
dent, Silver sant she is interested in
learning the different -ways people
perceive and share events where
weather and sodety intersfict. Tech-
nically speaking, e purpoite of this
study is to explore the way(s) in wh
