On Friday, Oct. 21 the Kinsmen Pee.
wee AL Sailors dropped a 7-1 decision
to Zurich Thunder in league play.
The Sailors weren't getting the
bounces and quickly found themselves
down 4-0. Chris tovier managed to
swat a rebound past. the Thunder goalie
with an assist to Mitchell Ryan but the
Sailors were never able to mount a
comeback.
On Sunday, Oct. 23. the .Sailors were
home to another Rep team and they
lost 5-3 to Milverton. Braeden Duncan
put the Sailors ahead 1-0 with an unas-
sisted effort 31 seconds into the game.
Milverton responded with a goal to tie
the score 1.1 heading into the second
period. -
Justin Leitch scored midway through,
the second to give the Sailors the lead
when he roofed a pass from Dwyer
Brown. Milverton tied the game 2-2
early in the third period then Leitch
scored his second from Brown and
Brady Gerber to put the Sailors up 3-2.
The Sailors ran into penalty trouble
and Milverton scored powerplay goals
17 seconds apart, the first on a five -on -
three manpower situation and then
again one. man. down, Milverton iced.
the comeback with another goal a few
minutes later to produce the 5-3 final.
The Sailors could not overcome 12 min -

On Sunday, Oct. 30 the Sailors gave
fans a treat playing with the fire that
helped them win their first two games of
the season. They came out and played a
smart game against Listowel cyclones
AL.
Mitchell Ryan opened the scoring
midway through the first period when
he used his speed to score on a breaka-
way, assisted by Noah Connelly.
Braeden Duncan extended the lead to
2-0 early in the second period, when he
finished a nice passing play from Kyle
Larkin and Ryan Lynch. Listowel scored
a seeing -eye goal that squeaked by Tan-
ner Merkley but Owain Sykes got in the
insurance goal assisted by Duncan and
the Sailors won 3-1.
Merkley had another strong game in.
net and defence of Larkin, Gerber Bown
and Troy Peters held Listowel at bay.
The key for the Sailors was Teaming from
the previous weekend and cutting their
penalty minutes°down.
The Kinsmen Peewees AE Sailors play
their home games Sundays at 4:30 p.m.
at memorial Arena,
Scott Fletcher of Goderich Honda and son RJ dropped the puck for the ceremonial
faceoff.
