People with poor digestion,• too frequently try all sorts of experi- ments to aid the process of digestion, but there is only one way in which the trouble can actually be cured, that is through the blood. That is why the tonic treatment with Dr. Williams' Pink Pills cures even the most obstin- ate cases of indigestion. They make rich, red blood that strenghtens the stomach and the nerves, thus enabling it to do its work, The process is sim- ple, but the result means good appetite and increased health and pleasure in life. In proof of these statements, Mrs. Albert Hall; Sonya, Ont., says: "I have used Dr. Williams' Pink Pills with wonderful results. For two years I was a great sufferer from indigestion, which almost made me a physical wreck. At times, my sufferings were so great that I was unable to attend to my household duties. I had smoth- ering spells at times and was afraid to lie down to rest. After every meal. no matter how sparingly I ate, I suffered great distress. I tried several doctors but there medicine was of no avail. I saw Dr. Williams' Pink Pills advertised to cure this trouble and decided to try them. I had not been taking them long when I felt somewhat improved. This improvement continued and after taking ten boxes I could eat and digest all kinds of food and felt better than I had done for years. You may be sure I am very grateful for the wonderful relief these pills have given me. I know they are also a cure for anaemic sufferers, as an intimate friend of mine was badly affected with this trouble and after taking several boxes she was entirely cured." You can get these pills through any dealer in medicine or by mail, post paid, at 50 cents a box or six boxes for $2.50 from The Dr. Williams' Medi- cine Co„ Brockville, Ont. WH)TE)NtHHOU Mr. Geo. McCienaghan sold a fine heavy draught mare last week to Mr. Weir, of Teesweter, receiving a good price. TO toe eiutiles Mrs. Rebecca Hooper, wife of Mr. James Hooper, one of the pioneer rest- - 1 dents of this township, passed away on Saturday last, aged 86 years. The remains were interred in the family plot in the Wroxeter cemetery on Monday afternoon. James L. McDonald, who escaped from Simcoe jail, and joined Coop & Lent's circus, was rearrested. •JAMJ;STOWN The ordination and induction of Rev. John T. Strachan, B. A., of this locality, into the pastorate of Sodom and Camp- bellville, took place Tuesday of last week. Rev. Mr. Hunter, of Alma, a college chum of Mr. Strachan, preached the sermon. Mr. Strachan has spent years in preparation and many old friends in..the home vicinity wish him and Mrs. Strachan many happy and prosperous years. R. H. and Mrs. Cutt, of Goderich, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jean Muir, to Thos. E. Ross, of Goderich, the marriage to take place quietly in August, BRUSSELS Applications for the position of or- ganist and choir leader of Melville church have been received and the applicants will be given a chance to demonstrate their proficiency during September. Douglas, son of Andrew Currie, fell a distance of 14 feet off the mill dam the other day and injured one of his legs quite seriously. Large quantities of spring ducks and young chickens are being marketed at Brussels cold storage and quite a staff of pluckers are kept bnsy, Two cars of heavy horses were ship- ped lost week by Messrs. Galbraith & Muldoon, of town. One went to Mon- treal and the other to Winnipeg. The circle tea next Tuesday will be held on the lawn of Mr. and Mrs, Bal- lantyne, the entire proceeds of which will go to Brussels company of the 161st Battalion. Miss Berva Bryans, underwent a euc- cessful operation for appendicitis. Some people are not to be trusted too far, or too near, either. Good advice is allowed to go to waste because it is unpleasant to take. Children Cry FOR FLETCHER'S °ABTO R I A LIVE pTOOI3. 1I tR STS, Toronto, July 31st—Receipts, 78 cars, with 1,521 cattle, 103 calves, 361 hogs, and 640 sheep and lambs. The cattle market was weak and draggy to -day, prices barely holding steady for butcher steers and heifers at last week's lowest. The hot wea- ther is still a check on the butcher meat trade, and the demand for beef cattle is by no means keen on the part of the big packers, who seem to have plenty of beef on hand.
