Court services could be operational
In Goderich within the nextfew weeks
in a temporary location in Courthouse
Park.
The Ministry of the Attorney General
has been installing temporary trailers
and modules in the park, just west of
the existing courthouse building with
an expectation to he operational in
November.
The ludic -jai system is setting up on
land (Courthouse Park) owned by the
town of Goderich while the existing
courthouse, owned by the County of

Court services have been offered in
London and Walkerton and family
court hearings have taken place in the
council chambers at Goderich Town
Hall.
The Ministry will occupy the tempo-
rary location until April 2011 and the
grounds in CCourthouse Park will be
restored to previous condition.
Courfoffice counter services for the
Goderich courthouse are being pro-
vided from a temporary_ trailer located
on the grounds.

Victim/witness services will move
from Stratford to the temporary trailers
once they are operational. Staff from
the Crown Attorney's office is currently
in Walkerton but will be moving to the
Goderich site as well.
The trailers will have three court-
rooms,
ourtrooms, judicial offices as well as space
for the Crowns, victim and witness serv-
ices, Legal Aid, the Law Association and
police services.
Coun._Jam Donnelly noted that while
the temporary situations created "a nui-
sance" he said it was vital to have court
proceedings offered in town and that
judges have commented on the excel-
lent facilities afforded the system.

St. George's Anglican Church hosted its annual teaser to the holiday season with the
Holly Berry Bazaar. With a full meal served alongside homemade treats and goodies
up for grabs, the Bazaar attracted a great number o1 people November 5. Kitchen
helpers Suzanne and Alma made sure the lunchtime goodies were ready to go while
Marilyn Bannister, Marianne Livingstone and Trish Corfield manned the treat table.
