the Bantam Reps battled a tough St Mary's Rock team
'ice on October 22, and despite the loss, they exempli-
and character throughout the game.

pressure their opponents. Burbine and De lager teamed
again to get the puck up to Chase Kulich, who put the
ck on top, 2-1. With just a couple of minutes left in the
Mary's answered back with a goal of their own, once
again tying it up at 2 apiece.
St. Mary's started the second period with a bang, scoring
three goals in succession, to put them up 5-2. The Sailors
wouldn't let the period end that way though, as they regained
one when Tyler Johnston and Rylan Lamb assisted De Jager in a
diving backhand that found its mark, 5-3 St. Mary's. The third
period was a tough one, with three more St. Mary's goals being
scored, but despite that, the Sailors showed heart and a never -
give -up attitude as they continued to fight tenaciously, win some
battles, and show perseverance right to the end. The final score
was 8-3 for the Rock, but we know our boys will be ready for the
rematch on November 9.
On October 23, the SC Inc Bantam Rep team traveled to Sea -
forth and was successful in shutting out the Seaforth Stars in a
one-sided match.
The Sailors were hungry for a win from the opening whistle.
They quickly put together a lovely play that saw Trier Dickson net
the first goal of the game on passes from Eric MacPhee and Ethan
Lajeunesse, 1-0 Sailors. A shot from Steve De Jager found its mark
just a few seconds later, 2-0. Just as quickly Chase Kulich passed
the puck up to De Jager once again who banked the third goal of
the night to put them ahead by three. The game was laden with
Goderich penalties, but their strong offense and solid penalty
killing prevailed. Just before the first period ended, Nick Souch
assisted De Jager on his third of the night, 4-0 Goderich
Great defensive plays. by Goderich kept the Stars from scor-
ing on what seemed like never-ending power plays. Even short-
handed, our boys were able to keep the pressure up and keep the
Seaforth team from penetrating our zone. At 6:22 of the second,
Kyle Langlois passed the puck up to De Jager who slipped it by
the Seaforth goalie, 5-0. Kulich netted his first of the night a few
minutes later, making it 6-0 Goderich.
Souch scored on an impressive backhand shortly into the
third period, 7-0 Sailors. Langlois also nabbed his first of the
evening, assisted by Kulich, putting our boys up by eight. Nearing
the end of the period, Kulich scored again on a smooth pass by
MacPhee, 9-0. And with 8.5 seconds left in the game, Lajeunesse
banked the last goal of the night from Kulich and De Jager, for a
10-0 final score.
Branden Bean earned the shut outwith help from his solid
defensive team: Eric MacPhee, Thomas Pritchard, Rylan Lamb,
Langlois, and Lajeunesse.
The Sailors battled the Walkerton Capitals the next night and
once again showed character and determination to come from
behind and rally for the victory.
With Jordan Johnson between the pipes, the Sailors were off
to a quick start once
again as Tyler Dick-
son rifled one from
