Relief on behalf
While recently cleaning out a drawer, Bob McKee came across a
1 oz. bar of gold that his late wife Joy McKee won at the Bayfield
Wine Tasting and Auction in 2006.
Joy passed away over a year ago and in her memory, Bob together
with their children Pat and Heather, have donated the gold to the
Goderich Disaster Relief Fund.
Relief volunteer Peter Shephard accepted the in memory gift,
and said the gold, valued in 2006 at $750, has been appraised at
$1,700.
As Bob says",a stroke of good hack from the past, helps bring
hope for the future."
Joy McKee was very active in the Goderich area with sorority,
Lioness club and various school support activities. In the spirit
of support for all things good about Goderich, the McKee family
desire to encourage others to make similar donations in memory
of loved ones. The gold bar will be sold with the proceeds
deposited to the ReNef. Fund.
