Theatre goers may be back in their seats soon as
owners of the Park Theatre in Goderich continue
their restoration efforts.
While there was substantial damage to the large
theatre auditorium, work is progressing on the
smaller venue and it may open for business by Fri-
day, Nov. 11, John Lyons of Lyons and Company
reports.
"There was substantial damage to the large
auditorium and at least 1,000 square feet of roof was
tom away and water has been coming in," he said.
"The seats were removed and we're completing roof
work. It is reasonable to expect the smaller theatre to
open Nov. 11 but the bigone may not open until
Christmas.
"Goderich is a nice ire and we're trying to open
as soon as we can. The problem is getting the mate-
rial san getting the work done but we're not alone"
