The love, caring and support
for Goderich and its people
extends across .Ontario for
certain.
Last Thursday morning, a
large tractor trailer full of food
and furniture arrived at the
Salvation Army on Suncoast
Drive courtesy of the residents
of Windsor.
"God challenged me to -help
the people of Goderich," Jim
Davis, Senior Pastor of Cutting
Edge International •Church said.
"There is still a need here and
we took on the church and city
of Windsorto help. Windsor
and area loves Goderich and
we wanted to be of assistance."
For Salvation Army Captain,
Bram Pearce, the donation is
both welcome and timely:
"We're: happy for the
donations and over the past
month people coming to us has
increased four times, he said.
"It's hard to get a feel for the
numbers but we are
significantly more busy in
giving out food and clothing!'
The church and Mens' United
for God Poodbank contacted
emergency response in
Windsor and placed donation
boxes all over the city..
Assistance and donations
poured in from everywhere,
Davis said, adding that
individuals, churches, food
banks and even media helped
promote the campaign to help
Goderich.
As the Goderich Parks
Department crew unloaded the
trailer, it revealed over 10,000
pounds of food, juices, diapers
a well as office furniture and
two new sets of washers and
dryers.

wonderful," George Jenkins a

an economically repressed area,
