The employee, who did not want to be identified, said that the complete staff was laid off and the announce- ment was made to the group on Tuesday, Sept. 20. The company said it was shutting down and employ- ees were told that they were trying to get work and that employees would be recalled when the order book warranted. Sky Harbour is renowned for its plane refinishing and much of the work comes from the United States. The strength of theCanadian dol- lar, the employee said, played a role in the lack of work at the facility. The business has always experienced slower times. the employee said adding that he would stay optimistic about the .business re -opening.
