The Game got off to a rocky start with Lucan being up 3-0 after the first period, and while Goderich gained some momentum in the second and scored a few goals, the physical Lucan team didn't stop coming and eventually beat the Pirates 11-4. Competitors ran distances of up to two kilometers up hills, through trails, and back over the bridge to complete the grueling course. With water bottle in hand to ward off possible dehydration, a runner in one of the younger grades of the meet gets ahead of his competition right off the bat.
