While Steffler suggested holding off on
the Highway 21 base until further infor-

opted to approve Lew's recommenda-

lengthy debate about the value of the
county's recently. introduced Rapid
Response Units, which Coun. George
Robertson (South Huron), among others,
questioned the value of given they cannot
be used to transport people to. hospital.
Lew notes that in accordance with new
provincial standards, the Rapid Response
Units make sense given they have so far
cut response time in half and can be used
to stabilize patients until an ambulance
arrives.
