Avon calling Overwhelmed by the devastation in the
community, Avon representatives from throughout southern Ontario
felt compelled to do something to help the Goderich community. What
resulted is the donation of more that 600 care packages filled with
Avon products to benefit affected families. "What we decided to do is
what we do everyday," said Avon District Manager Janet Larcombe,
"which is help women everywhere feel a iitt a bit better.,,
Gathered at the Suncoast Mall on September 24 were donations
enough for 328 families boxed up and ready to be distributed,
Larcombe said, with another 300 families worth waiting to be
packaged.
"The response from our representatives was overwhelming,"
Larcombe said Saturday. "These donations have come in from
Hanover, Stratfrod, kitchener Waterloo, London, Sarnia — It's been
amazing."
Care packages include "everyday essentials," and will be
distributed through ttw St. Vent de Paul organization in Werth.
