The day promises to be inform-
ative and, most importantly, rel-
evant to Huron County. Angela
Ritchie, Public Health Promoter
with the Huron County Health
Unit and chair of the Forum's
committee says, "We're excited
to provide parents and other
adults with a chance to talk and
ask questions to local service
providers. Too often, we only
seek information and resources
after something negative.
happens." The day will focus on
prevention; however it will carry
some heavy messages about the
reality Huron County teens face.
Throughout the Forum's after-
noon, parents and other adults are
encouraged to bring their kids to
the taoderich-Huron YMCA for
free swimming, skating and
structured play. "We want to do
everything we can to get parents
out to this day, it's going to be
worth it," says Ritchie.

Songs of support
East Street Station's fundraising coffeehouse with Emm Gryner held Friday, Sept. 9
raised $1,652.17 for the Goderich Disaster Relief Fund. Gryner donated her time to
help support the victims of the Aug. 21 tornado. Together with bassist Steve Clark of
London, and the local talents of Bud Mabon, Ashley Anderson, Jenna Ujlye and Jamie
Wallace, they filled the Station with beautiful, uplifting music.
