Duncan was effusive in his praise of the team-
work in the face of such a tragedy indicating that
he wanted to work to help make the community
stronger, something that might be accomplished
through the Southwest Economic Development
Fund.
'"We have pledged $60 million to the fund for an
area that has been hurt by the downturn,' he said.
"It will allow for greater local decision making and
Goderich could be a beneficiary. If we are elected
we will implement the fund."
Remembering regular trips through Goderich to
spend summers in Port Elgin, Duncan scanned the
Square and said, "This breaks my heart to see it like
this. It's unbelievable
