The courthouse's windows and roof sustained damage from the tornado, but It is not known whether the facility took a direct hit from the tornado or whether it bounced over the building. Adams notes one outstanding issue is a ministry -issued concernabout asbestos in the courthouse, though Adams notes the county already removed and otherwise wrapped all areas within the facility in past years. "(Any asbestos) would've been blown in by the tornado," he says. Adams says insurance is expected to pick up the tab for much of the storm -related damage, including destroved laptops and other equipment, along with the roof at the county's registry office. "We are by no means back to normal," notes Adams. "County employees have been on the ground and going ever since this trag- edy occurred." ragedyoccurred:' According to the Ministry of Attorney Gen- eral's web site, all Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Justice and court counter services have been transferred to the Walker- ton courthouse.
