destroyed.
Town Parks Superintendent, Martin
Quinn, told council that the gates
would open to the cemetery as of
Thursday, Sept. 8 and reported that
there was minimal damage to tomb-
stones in the .cemetery. At the rear of
the cemetery, however, about 30 acres

life during the Great Storm of 1913 is
in bad shape and a work party from
the naval vessels will clean up the
area, just in time for the Sept. 25 Sail-

a.m. and will berth at the South Wall
federal dock. The ships will be open

The main purpose of the Great Lakes
Deployment (GLD) is to raise aware-
ness among Canadians of their Navy
as well as to highlight the many career
opportunities available in the naval
service.
The presence of the ships, its offic-
ers and crew will serve as an opportu-
nity for dialogue with Canadians who
are unfamiliar with the Navy and
would enjoy a visit to a warship.
