the request. The Ministry is
required to rule prior to Sep-
tember :6 due to the upcom-
ing election.

Committee members cannot
include members of council
or municipal staff. VanDi-
epenbeek said he's hopeful,
that the committee already
formed in Goderich could
serve ACV as well.

scheduled for Sept, 6.
'Che ODRAP is an assist-
ance program designed to
help municipalities and indi-
viduals get back on their feet
after a natural disaster. It is
intended to cover the costs of
returning essential items to
pre -disaster condition for
people who have suffered
damage in a designated dis-
aster area. Only uninsured
damages are eligible for
ODRAP funding.

Feeding the helpers

Many volunteers representing social service agencies and faith -based groups have
been assisting residents during the tornado relief effort. Members of the Salvation
Army team of volunteers have been preparing food and feeding people every day at
the Columbus Centre.
