Ridge House Tour
takes patrons
back in time
P
The Ridge House Tour went on as
planned last weekend and was an unquali-
fied success.
For a few hours on Sunday, August 28,
the actors playing the roles of those who
have lived at The Ridge and house tour
guests were able to clear their minds of the
disaster in Goderlch.
Much laughter could be heard emitting
from the house as the guided tour unfolded
many times through the day. -
Many who had been severely affected by
the tornado carne and were able to laugh
and enjoy themselves for a few hours and
find hope and renewal touring an old home
that at onetime had been slated for demo-
lition in the 1940s.
About 170 people took the tour of the
historic Ridge House and over $9,000 was
raised from the Colborne Township 175th
anniversary event and the sale of history
books. Proceeds from the event will be
used to repair the Colborne Cemetery
entrance gates.
