clean up the destroyed lumber

many homeowners in the hard-

Mike Bissett and neighbours sur-
veyed the extensive neighbourhood
damage Friday evening and had noth-
ing but positive remarks for the kind-
ness of strangers and the help that was
offered in the aftermath of the tor-
nado. "What has been done here in

helped out. It's remarkable. We had
food brought to us."

struck. Despite the fact his business
was damaged, he immediately started
helping out on The Square with the
shut off of the gas supply.
Hydro, parks, DPP, emergency serv-
ices and a number of other crews from
towns and cities across the province
were in town to help out. When a
hydro crew from the Tillsonburg,
Aylmer, Ingersoll working the battered
St. Patrick Street area was thanked for
their assistance Friday, they
responded with, "We know Goderich
would be there for us if we needed
help,"
