to graduating students and

Stringer Awards to high school
graduating students.
Through its activities and
fundraisers, the club has also
been able to provide support o
the Seaforth Girls marching Band, pro-
vided ice rental for free public skating for
children at the Maitland Recreation Cen-
tre, helped fund the purchase and installa-
tion costs of playground equipment at
local schools and assisted organizations
such as Big Brother and Sisters of Huron,
Camp Menesetung, Goderich Children's
Festival, the aquatic swim team and a
number of other community youth groups
and programs.
The Goderich Lions club will continue
to provide for the needs of the community
and its young people through community-
based activities and events.

swing set," Hemp explained.
Following a brief discussion
on similar donations made by
the municipality, notably the
Colborne School Playground
project, members of council
voted in favour of a $2,000 con-
tribution to the Auburn effort.
