Our prayers are with you

I have been doing my best to stay
in touch with family in the Goderich/
Port Albert area. My mom is from
Port Albert, and I have a lot of family
and friends in the area - and cer-

We feel your loss
To the Editor;
We have been fortunate to come to
Goderich for the past ten years, to con-
duct business and interact with the
community. The recent tornado made
it necessary to cancel our coming event
in Goderich, and we were both a little
surprised to :find that we feel a definite
sense of loss over the damage caused
by this storm.
We have come to know so many of

Condolences expressed to Laberge family
Thanks for a great community experience
To the editor,
We the Players and the Board of Directors
of the Almost Famous Players, would like to
thank the people of your communities for
welcoming us into your communities and
hopefully your hearts.
The players so enjoy the opportunity to
perform for an audience. It lifts their spirits.
and increases their zest for life immeasura-
bly. This is all fed and magnified by the reac-
tions and feedback of their audiences. If they
do a little educating and illuminating along
the way, that is simply a bonus.
Thanks to a recent grant from the Trillium
Foundation, we were able to take this year's
show to five communities outside our home
base of Wingham. These shows would not
have been possible without the willingness of
our host :organizations to offer us venues.
Some of these organizations knew little or
nothing about us, but relied on recommen-
dations of their peer organizations who were
aware of our talents. So, we would like to
express our gratitude to the Royal Canadian
Legion branch in. Hensall, the Lucknow
Klnette Club, the Royal Canadian. Legion
branch in Lucknow, the Howick Women's
Institute, the Goderich Rotary Club, the Royal
Canadian Legion branch and the Legion
Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion
branch in Goderich, and the Mitchell Rotary
Club.
All of these groups offered us the opportu-
nity to show off our talents. While the
proceeds of our Wingham shows at the Wing-
ham Heritage Theatre go to maintaining the
troupe and supporting the Heritage Theatre,
the proceeds of the out of town performances
went to those hostorganizations for use as
they saw fit.
Please thank your readers for some great
experiences.

Turbines cause many harmful issues
To the editor,
There seems to be a basic issue
that is getting very confused. Peo-
ple seem to be accepting the illu-
sions from questionable advertis-
ing by governments and big
industrial businesses of what a
product appears to be and not
the reality of what it really is and
does.
Take industrial wind turbines
for example, advertising pictures
of them along with the catchy
buzz words used, congers up
ideas which then misdirects you
into believing things that the gov-
ernment and wind industry want
youto believe, similar to tactics
used by a magician at a magic
show. Advertisements promote
illusions of how benign they are,
totally an asset to our well being
and how friendly government
and the wind industry is.
The reality is: They cause many
harmful health issues to humans;
why else would industrial wind
turbine farms located around
prisons have to be turned OFF at
night. The wind industry buy up
homes troubled by industrial
wind turbines and a gag is placed
on former owners from talking
about it. If you question or
express opposition, then intimi-
dation tactics are used like name.
calling, lawsuit threats, to even
government here in North Amer-
ica saying, they will CRUSH THE
PEOPLE OPPOSSING wind.
More money can now be rnade
by having to build lots of new
polluting backup fossil fuel burn-
ing electrical generation plants
because of wind being so unreli-
able. Industrial wind turbines are
too costly and too dangerous to
have them in and around cities.
plus there's huge MONEY savings
to have them in the rural coun-
tryside. Farmers just happen to
have the CHEAP land to put them
on. Also many of all those big
numbers of new jobs being
claimed move around and restart
from province to province, state
to state and country to country.
If only the illusions of indus-
trial wind turbines were true than
their reality would have no.
illusions.
