are in progress to
participation of a
broad range of artists from the
Goderich Co-op Gallery, the
Goderich Art Club, artists
associated with Elizabeth's Art
Gallery and regional artists
from the Wingham Art Group.
It is hoped that at least 60
pieces of original art can be
created.
This work will include a
variety of 'pond hockey art;
images of famous players --
including action portraits of
NHL locals Larry Jeffrey, Paul
Henderson, and Gary Doak -
highlights in NHL and Inter-
national Hockey, and related
themes. Works created to date
promise that the complete
emotion will offer a valuable
and unique art acquisition
opportunity for those in
attendance.
The majority share of pro-
ceeds will support the Junior
'C' team. A small balance will
returned to the participating
art groups to help fund their
favorite art outreach programs
or a local charity of choice;
and, in the case of Elizabeth's
Art Gallery, the local Kids
Booster Club program, which
allows underprivileged
youngsters to have access to
arts & sports programs.
Event sponsors include
media hosts: 104.9 The Beach,
Goderich Print Shop,
Goderich Signal -Star; and
local restaurateurs: the Blue
water Restaurant, Boston
Pizza, Crabby Joe's, Paddy
O'Neil's, the Park House, and
