OPP Report
Two Goderich men charged with impaired driving
Two men are facing impaired charges
after making a scene and hitting a
ditch.
At approximately 10 p.m. on August
6, a I luron OPP officer received a call of
an unwanted male and female at a resi-
dence on High Street in Clinton. Fur-
ther investigation revealed the male
party had driven to the residence and
would not leave. The officer observed
the male driver to be under the influ
ence of alcohol. He was subsequently
arrested and transported to the
Goderich detachment to meet with a
qualified lntoxilizer Technician in order
to provide two samples of his breath.
The results of the two tests confirmed
that the driver had a blood alcohol level
that was above the legal limit of 80 mil-
ligrams of alcohol.
As a result of the investigation, a
42 -year-old Goderich man has been
charged with one count of Drive With
Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol, one
count of Impaired Driving and Drive
Motor Vehicle with No Licence. Ile will
answer to his charge in the Ontario
Court of Justice -y Goderich on October
3, 2011.
At approximately 10 p.m. on August
4, Huron OPP were dispatched to a sin-
gle motor vehicle collision on i)ungan-
non Road, just east of Hwy 21. The
driver lost control of the vehicle and
entered the north ditch. Two passen-
gers were in the vehicle I..: well.
Upon speaking to the driver, who had
suffered minor injuries, the officer
observed the male driver to be under
the influence of alcohol. He was subse-
quently arrested and transported to the
Goderich hospital to be treated for his
injuries. He then met with a qualified
lntoxilizer 'Technician in order to pro-
vide two samples of his breath.

21 -year-old Goderich man has been.
charged with one count of_Drive With.

Break and Enter at residence
The Huron County Ontario Provincial
Police (OPP) are investigating a break
and enter that occurred on August 5
between the hours of 6:30 a.m.. and 4
p.m. from a rural residence on Hullet-
Mchillop Road in Huron East.
Police say unknown person(s)
entered the residence and removed a
laptop computer, digital camera, ciga-
rettes and alcohol. .
Not much else is known at this time,
so police are asking any person with
information regarding the person(s)
responsible for this incident should
immediately contact the Ontario Pro-
vincial'Police at 1-888-310-1122.
Should you wish to remain anony-
mous, you may call Crime Stoppers at
1 -800 -22? -8477 (TIPS) where you may
be eligible to receive a cash reward of
up to $2,000.
Fight results in assault charges
On August 7, 20]], at approximately
2 a.m. Huron OPP officers responded to
a report of an assault on Simcoe Street
in Exeter. Investigation revealed that
two males had been jumped and
assaulted by two other males. The vic-
tims were taken to the South Huron
Hospital where they were treated for
their injuries and released.
Asa result of the investigation, two
18 -year-old males from Exeter were
arrested and both charged with one
count Assault Cause Bodily Harm and

Theft from unlocked vehicle
On August 4, between the hours of
10 p.m. and 8 a.rn. a vehicle was entered
on Albert. Street in Exeter. The vehicle
was left unlocked and a purse was sto-
len from within the vehicle.
The Huron O.P.Y. want to remind
vehicle owners once again to lock their
vehicles and keep all valuables out of
sight.

ing the person(s) responsible for this
incident should immediately contact
