"One thing are trying to do with

change their communities."

Michael Lagimodiere noted the town
was a "great place for volunteers."
"The generosity has been over the
top," he said after the ribbon -cutting.
"The kids have been a lot .of fun and.
the community has been imtnensely
supportive"

"It was fun," Tristan said at the grand
opening. "A lot of hard work though."
Getting to use and be around tools
was a pretty cool experience for Tris-
tan, evideneby the'srnile on his face
when he notes he got to use a drill and
touch a chainsaw:
"I couldn't use that one though," he
said. 1 also used big scissors (for the
ribbon•cuttit)g), cameras, tape meas-
ures and spray paint.
"That's not really a tool, but it's fun
to use,"
The monarch butterfly theme is per-
fect for the park, home to thousands of
the creatures every September as they
migrate across the continent. A butter-
fly climber, chrysalis swing and cater-
pillar climber show the fife -cycle and
the colourful patterns of the park's
narneake.

lauded the town's volunteers..
"They make this community tops," he.
said.
On behalf of Sifto one of the major
sponsors Roland -Howe noted: the
butterfly theme was especially appro-
priate because of the butterfly's need
for sodium.
McGregor offered her thanks for all
the major sponsors - Sifto, Deluxe
Paints, St. John Ambulance and !Verner
Contracting.
The show will be broadcast on TVOn-
tario in September 2012.

With .a collective "Let's giv'er!" the new Monarch
Park playground officially opened Wednesday,
July 27. The opening was being filmed as part of
Sinking Ship Entertainment's Giver program.
