The team had strong. bats by Jake Moulton, Carson Lamb, Trevor Lockie andthe two Stevenson brothers the entire tournament. Clutch bunts by Brad Gethke contributed strongly to the suc- cess of the team. They had excellent out fielding by Cody Millian, Wil Cannon, Chad, Kernighan, and Zach Harman as they each had their fair share of spectac- ular'plays. Infielders Jake Moulton, Car- son Lamb, Austin Kernighan, Trevor Lockie and Brad Gethke all had key plays in the tournament snagging tough balls and getting the outs. Jesse Stevenson played the best baseball he has played all year hitting, and catching great. Starting pitcher DJ Stevenson, pitched a total of 18 innings for the tournament. Coaches Glen Lamb, Gard. Moulton, and Patti Lamb were all proud of the way the boys played; facing tough competi- tion, blistering heat, coming together well as a team, giving the fans a very exciting weekend of fastball and bringing home the hardware. Each year, the county War n choosesa golf course as well a fa, charity to benefit from the event. Last year, former Warden. Bert Dykstra choose Habitat for Human- ity and the tournament resulted in a donation of $3,000 from the county. Once again, Warden Neil Vincent chose Habitat for Humanity and added a whopping $4,000 to the donation in 2011. Numerous prizes were donated from businesses and members of the community. A special thanks from the Warden's office goes out to tee sponsors: Lavas, North Huron, Mor- ris-Turnberry, Vodden Bender and Seebach and Georgian Bay Fire and Safety Ltd. A very special thank you goes out to the tournament sponsors: MicroAge Basics, Frank Cowan Company and Sun Life Insur- ance Company. "Being a relative new rest fit to Huron County, 1 cannot say enough about all the eorhinunity,support we received in the way of sponsorship, donations and participation. The proceeds are for a great cause, it was a great and enjoyable day; A great event for all involved," said Darcy Michaud, Director,of Human Resources. The winners of his year's golf. tournament were rcy Michaud, Greg. Gordon, Mark Crawford and Harold Cook with a winning score of minus 14. "1 would like to say a special thank you to all the visiting Wardens from Elgin, Middlesex and Lambton as well as the great representation from the lower tiers," added Warden Neil Vincent.
