The Conserva- tive government has been very vocal in its opposition to the Prairie -based grain monopoly and while allowing it to con- tinue, plans to allow farmers the choice to market their own wheat. "This legislation will allow farmers choice, he said: Another staple in the Conservative platform - getting rid of the long gun registry - is set to pass this fall with the majority government. "It's been an issue for more than a decade,," Lobb said. "Hunters, farmers and sportsmen are frustrated, we know it doesn't work. It's time to get rid of it and reallocate the resources to fight crimes - like handguns :and restricted weapons."
