It has been a fitting ceremony before the opening of the Ray
Ducharme Memorial Baseball Tournament to reflect on the
Ducharme's contribution to minor baseball in Goderich over
many years. The 15th annual tournament got underway Friday
night at Agriculture Park with 16 teams from a wide area
competing in four divisions of play. As has become custom,
famny of Ray's family members throw out the ceremonial pitch
to launch the tournament. On hand for the photo were pitchers;
Regan DeWinter, Griffin Priebe, Evie Bennett Cole Ducharme,
Jared DeWinter and Damien Priebe.
There was plenty of dusty action Friday evening as Listowel
and Hanover kicked off the 15th edition of the Ray Ducharme
Memorial Tournament at Agriculture Park. Many of the fans
tried to find a cool spot to enjoy the baseball action.
