Go "Behind the Bars" and meet some of the "Faces of Gaol" on Tuesday and Thursday evenings throughout July and August, and experience life at the Gaol between 1841 and 1911. This interactive event provides visitors with the opportunity to explore the National Historic Site while meeting historical figures from the Gaol's past. Gaol staffers, with the help of a few volunteers, bring to life just. some of the countless figures that helped write the facility's history through serving time andserving justice. Gaol employee Elliot Rate plays lames, a petty thief who maintains his innocence. Rate also researched characters and wrote much of the script for the 2011 Behind the l3.ars series, which he says highlights the evo- lution vo-lution of the facility, "We meet real, figures who span 1848 to 1911, so there is a wide range of history covered, and also the jail changed quite a bit in that period of historic gaol Dominique MNburn Godench Sinai -Star Vanessa Wilts and Eliot Rate take on the roles of Hannah and James, two unlucky souls bciced up for come and insanity at the Huron Historic Gaol. The. show is set to begin soon after 8 p.m., said SIA Manager Susan Arm- strong. The feature film picks up where Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010) leaves off. Greg Heffley, the kid who made "wimpy" cool is back in an all-new fam- ily comedy based on the best-selling fcillow-up novel by Jeff Kinney. As he begins seventh grade, Greg and his older brother - and chief tormentor Rodrick must deal with their parents' misguided attempts to have them bond. In the past, moviegoers have traditionally shown up early to the event to take full advantage of additional treats, including children's face painting and snack sales.
