"The film crew will be here for
three days with up to 30 people and
we want volunteers tocome out and
help with a variety of tasks that are
not too onerous,' Quinn said. "We
need people with some carpentry
skills and others who canhelp us
spread material and do some general
yard work. It is not heavy, physical
labour, but we want about 150 people
out. We will have the ribbon cutting

Volunteers from CIB will be out in
force but need a hand to help spread

The entire process will be filmed
for a program that will air on TVO
later in the fall.
"We want to develop this as an edu-
cational situation so that children
and adults can learn about our
weaker friends inthe animal world,"
Quinn said. "We will take a tired area
and over three days give it a fresh
look, a hug, as they call it in the
business. We will not be taking .away
from the area as a passive park, we
will stay within the footprint and
enhance what is there.
In preparation for the work in Bing-
ham Park, a few diseased elm trees
have already been removed but each
tree is replaced on a two-for-one
basis.
"It's part of our long term plan to
upgrade the parks and the funding
through the giver Program is worth
about $30,000 to $40,000." Quinn
said..
