Roxy Maize & Family IJONOUR Cards of Thanks Cards of Thanks Fred Alexander White, June 23, 2011 Elda Viola (Good) White, April 18, 2011 After losing both our parents in such a short period of time, the family of the late Fred and Elda White would like to extend their sincere thanks to friends, relatives, neighbours, • and sorority club, for their numerous acts of kindness and support. Our thanks, for the many cards, visits, flowers, food and memorial donations. Your compassion will long be remembered, Special thanks to Dr. Lal, the other Drs, nurses, kitchen and all other staff, who contributed in Dad's care at the AM&G hospital. Thank You, Dr. Hollingworth for the special care you gave to Mom and Dad over all the years. We always knew they were in good hands with you. And to Rev. Bill Vanderstett for your spiritual guidance and being there for all of us, through both our parents' illnesses. We felt so blessed for you showing us how much you cared. Deepest thanks for the heartfelt eulogies given by John Whiteson), Fred Patterson (nephew) and Craig Swarthout (grandson) and also for the hymns so beautifully sang by Brenda Patterson (niece). The service continues towarm our hearts during our very sad times. Grandsons Larry White, Jamie McDougall, Scott Finnie, Christopher and Craig Swarthout and Dan Shaddick carried Dad to his final resting place. It gives us great comfort in knowing Dad and Mom are in a much better place and both together once again. Thanks to the Women of Knox Church for the excellent luncheon appreciated by everyone, and to the staff at McCallum and Pella Funeral Home for alt their help they gave us during this difficult time. I "1 �,t ►N ��i 1 1A canoe r . • Wednesday, July 13, 2011 • Goderich Signal -Star 33 Obituaries Obituaries POULIN, (nee Emery), Gertrude Bernadette - In her 100th year, peacefully at Queensway Nursing and Retirement Home in Hensall Ontario on July 6th, 2011. Beloved spouse of the late Albert Poulin (1986) and predeceased by her daughter Corinne Anne and brothers, Adrian, Montfort, Urbain, Leonard Raymond and Bernard. Mother of Robert (daughter-in-law Lois) and grandmother of Sean (Shannia) and Michael (Joyce) of Guelph. Great grandmother to Austin, Logan and Isabella. She will be always remembered and sorely missed by her nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Born in 1912 in Chatham Ontario she and Albert moved to Goderich in approximately 1960. Gertrude was an active parishioner of St.Peter's CWL. She was an accomplished seamstress, and she will always be remembered for her generosity, kindness and her sense of humour. A very special thanks to all the staff at Queensway Nursing Home who so lovingly cared for her the last 10 years. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Goderich, Ontario on Monday July 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to mass at St. Peter's Church. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery. Beloved wife of the .late Ross Montgomery. Dear mother of James (Jim) and Donna of Mitchell; Gary and Joyce of London; Robert (Bob) and Jan of Mitchell; Edward (Ted and companion Cindy of St. Marys; and Margaret (Montgomery) Weber of Seaforth. Loving grandmother of 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Remembered by her brother Frank Golding and his wife Jane and a sister-in-law Viola Beuerman, all of Seaforth, and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Ross; a grandson, Gregory Ross Montgomery; her parents William and Alena. (Kenchen) Golding; siblings Art (Vi) Golding, Evelyn (Patrick) • Parrot, Dorothy (Jim) Mark; brothers-in-law Harvey Beuerman and Earl Montgomery; sister-in-law Luella Montgomery; and a niece. Family received friends at the WHITNEY-RIBEY FUNERAL HOME, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth on Saturday from 7-9 pm and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where a funeral service was held on Monday, July 4 at 11:00 am.
