Beard was selected for the National Youth Orchestra of Canada in 2009 and 2010. The next Knox concert is July 20 featuring Kim and Travis Teed. The Port Albert RE"V'N in "11" celebrations are gearing up and promise to offer some great family entertainment, The festivities will run over three days from Friday, July 29 to Sunday, July 31. On Friday. July 29 the Welcome tent and beer tent will open at 6 p.m. and a dance featuring the Full Nelson will run from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. and a teen party will be held from 8-11 p.m. Events on Saturday include breakfast at 7 a.m. followed by opening ceremonies at 10:30 a.m. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. and there will be kids and adult activities on all afternoon, including volleyball, tug-of- war, log sawing and arm wrestling, and the beef barbecue will follow from 5 to 7 p.m. A dance featuring Whiskey Jack and Ronnie and the Law will take place Saturday night and teen party is scheduled as well. Sunday's 7 a.m. breakfast will be followed by a non -denom- inational church service at 11 a.m. and the Nine Milers Antique Car- show will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Live music and activities will carry on to midnight Sunday.
