Mayor Deb Shewfelt noted that his-
torically, Lions Harbour Park has always„
been a place for rneeting and music.
When news of King George IV's death
and succession arrived in Goderich, the
tow n band held a celebration in Har.
bour Park - two fiddlers and a
tambourine.
Since then it has been home to count-
less concerts, gatherings and celebra-
tions part of the town's ongoing
history.
The mayor also added thanks to CAO
Larry McCabe for "a lot of suck -handling
on this project."
Both Huron -Bruce MP and MPP, Ben
Lobb and Carol Mitchell, were on -hand

Laketown entertainment
The Goderich Laketown Band kicked off the entertainment portion of the Festival of Arts and Crafts Friday
playing some old time favorites. The Suncoast Brass quartet, featuring al Mullin, Hugh McGregor, Shelly
Johnston and Jim Hamitton, who has been playing the horn for over 80 years and will make the band's
July 24 concert his last, also entertained in Courthouse Park for the Shriner fish fry dinner crowd.
