Air German and Canadian Choirs
The Bach Music Festival of Canada hosts two award-
winning chamber choirs performing together for the first
time in Canada showcasing the Bach choral repertoire.
Festival Guest Choir from Germany, Harvestehuder Kam-
merchor with Conductor Claus Bantzer, joins. Canada's
Gerald Fagan Singers with Conductor Gerald Fagan 0.Ont.,
based in London, Ontario. They had performed together
once before - in 2000, in Hamburg, Germany,
This exciting musical event will feature gems from each
of the choirs' repertoires including contemporary choral
works.
Tickets are just $15 for adults and $8 for youth for the
Thursday, July 14, concert at Trivitt Memorial Anglican
Church, 264 Main Street South Exeter, ON at 8p.m.
Germany's Harvestehuder Chamber Choir was founded
in 1980 by its -Artistic Director, Claus Bantzer. Since its
inception the ensemblehas won prizes in choral competi-
tions and earned a national and international concert rep-
utation for performance excellence. They enjoy introduc-
ing an audience to different styles and musical eras
through experimentaflefrms.
Harvestehuder Kammerchor's extensive and versatile
repertoire includes older, classical and romantic choral
compositions, as well as contemporary works including
compositions by Claus Bantzer.

Fes. Reserve Conservation Area is celebrating Family Fi hing
Weekend! Join In the fun at the FAMILY FISHING DERBY
Prizes for tagged fish caught and the longest fish caught.
Date: Saturday July 9 from 8.00 a m to 2:00 p.m.
Location: -Fails Reserve Conservation Area at the
stocked pond.
• Derby registration is $7 per person
Dally park admission is S5 per adult
and $2.50 per child under 12 years to a
maximum of $15 per car (up to 6 people in
the vehicle). Children under 5 ere free.
Free bbq lunch provided for derby participants. Proceeds support

, Fagan Singers' twenty-four perform-
ers bring great skill .and musical
expertise to the ensemble. Champi-
ons of a Canadian repertoire, the
Fagan Singers performed A Trillium
Christmas for over 15 year showcas-
ing over 200 compositions by Ontario
composers. _
The Gerald Fagan Singers .were the
first performing group from the West
to travel to Lithuania. Founder and
Conductor Gerald Fagan was awarded
the Lithuanian Medal by President.
Adamkus during their concerts inVil-
nius. They were chosen to perform at
Montserrat Monastery and while in
Spain, they were privileged to per-
forrn at the incomplete Gaudi Cathe-
dral - the first choir to ever sing in this
magnificent and unique edifice. The
choir's tours have included perform-
ances for the International Bishops
Conference in Canterbury, the Inter-
national Trade Commission in Stutt-
gart as well as a concert in Avignon at
the -Pope's palace on Bastille Day:
