In total, 71 girls from across the prov-
ince between the ages of 14-18 will be
teeing off in a tournament that has pro-
vided a stepping stone for many ath-
letes, Including 2004 runner-up Steph-
anie Sherlock of Barrie, who c4ualifed
for the LPGA in December last year.

Kincardine golfers Taylor Schmidt and Brianna Cooper are
both on golf scholarships at U.S. schools.
"It's a huge stepping stone," Gravett said of the Juniors.
"There will be 5-6 NCAA coaches coming to scout"
He added the course is looking for volunteers for the tour-
nament. Anyone Interested is asked to call the pro shop at
519-5248447.
There have been a few changes to the course this year in
preparation, including set back tee blocks on number three,
and a new green on hole four, over the crick from the original
green.
"We're hoping to have the new green in play, he said. "We
seeded it inmaybut it may not be ready. Too many
washouts
Tee off times for the tournament are 7-10 a.m. July 12,13
and 14. The course is open to members and guests
afterwards.

On Monday, June 27, Men's Night. League, Ray Bedard and
Bill Hanly tied, shooting a 31 for first low net. Roy Wallace
shot 35 for first low gross. Closest to th in on #1 was Bob
Graham. Three golfers tied for second to oss with a 37.
They were Tom Smith, Dave Merlam and Na Daer.
Other winners of the night were Tom Crawford, Lance
Greer, George Vanderburgh, Stan Paquette and Tony Vollick.
On Tuesday June 28, Men's Senior League, 56 players
took to the course. The low net winners were, Flight A - Chris
Connor, B - Sam Cino and Harold Leddy, C - Doug Bundy, D
Glenn Lamb, E - Tom Arthur, F - Chris Raynard, G - Ken
Thomlinson. Closest to the pin on #1 was Phil Bugler.
Tuesday evening the Ladies' League held a scramble.
Winners were Pam Marshall, Sharon Moore and Bernie
McDonald. Most fun group were Jean Bell, Michelle Smith
and Norah Anderson.
Thursday, June 30, Ladies' Morning League, Jean ikit-
is!' came in with fewest putts.
