Ana Dalton-Needlo of the LHLC
saidthey want to continue to
work out of Goderich, if
possible.
"Although we service the
whole of Huron and Bruce, dont
really want to leave Goderich;"
she said. "We're looking for a
place that -could be a classroom,
hold 15-20 people, chairs and
desks" -
Dalton -Needles said the LHLC
did look at downtown properties,
but could not find one that suited
the Collaborative's needs. How-
ever, as September looms slowly
closer, the need for a new work-
space compounds. The sooner
they find a new place, she said,
the better.
Director John Smallwood
noted the LHLC received word
from the Avon Maitland District
School Board last wekk, advising
them they are to leave Victoria by
the end of July. Hkwt ver, he said

iearty bunch, she says.
The Walks are the principle fundraiser for ALS
Ontario, which receives no government funding
and relies entirely on the generosity of .private
donors. Last year the Walks .raised $1.4 million to
allow those living with ALS to receive assistive
equipment at little or no cost,' attend support
groups, and also medical researchers to continue
work on finding a cure.
ALS kills two to three people every day in Can-
ada, and every day, two to three people are diag-
nosed with ALS. There is no known cause, treat-
ment or cure, and 80 per cent of those diagnosed
will die within two to five years.
The Walk for ALS is celebrating 10 years in Can-
ada. Those who did not get a chance to support the
Wingharn Walk this year can still do so by visiting
www.walkforals.ca and following the prompts to
makea donation.
