Once again, the Festival has attracted 150 vendors and
features everything from fused and stained glass products to a
textile artist and food vendors. The items for display and sale
include jewelry, pottery, wood carvings, photography,
paintings, glass works and assortment ()flood products.
In short, there is something for everyone.
The Festival gets underway Friday, July 8 at Noon and runs
until 8 p.m. that evening. The Goderich Laketown Band will
perform on the Friday beginning at 4:30 p.m. to coincide with
the start of the Shriners' Fish Fry in the park.
The Laketown Band will play until 6 p.m. Friday and will give
way to That Other Choir who will perform at 6:30 p.m. in the
bandstand.
Music will be playing in the park throughout the weekend,
Brown notes.
On Saturday, the festival is open from 10 a.rn. but will close
down by -5 p.m. this year. The Farmer's Market will operate
Saturday morning. 1
The Goderich Rotary club will run its popular used book sale
through Saturday and Sunday in the park. The festival will share
space with the weekly flea market and will operate from Noon
to4p.m. ✓
The Festival of Arts and Crafts is organized by the Women's
shelter, Second Stage Housing and Counseling Services of
Huron ands serves as the group's main annual fundraising
initiative, Members of the board of directors will be volunteer-
ing their time at the festival through the weekend and will staff
the welcome tent.
Money raised from the annual festival goes to help women
and families in tunes of distress.

formerly of Goderich. She is the daughter of Bruno and Mary
hapaine of Goderich.

taken on a very long and unimaginable journey, one that no
family, let alone a police family, should ever have to endure."

The verdict came a day after peel Regional Const. Garrett
Styles was killed after stopping a van on an early morning traffic
stop. The 15 -year-old driver tried to speed away, dragging the
officer and later pinning him beneath the vehicle when it rolled
into a ditch.
The Get Out and Ride Poker Run for Breasts Sake brought out
some high -RPM eye candy to Goderich Sunday, June 26, with
a bevy of classic cars and motorcycles. Riders raised money
tor the Keeping Abreast Campaign for digital mammography
equipment for the Alexandra and Marine General Hospital.
