As it stands, she notes, the sentiment
seems to be leaning towards housing the
collection at the Sky Harbour Gallery at
the Goderich airport.
After some debate, Coun. Ken Oke
(South Huron) crafted a motion to allow
for county staff to move forward on the
project.
"I do believe we should move ahead
and address this collection as part of our
history."
Coun. Ben Van Diepenbeek (ACW) says
one step in the right direction, is to draft
a letter to the Town of Goderih from the
county since the town.owns the airport.
Meanwhile, the CAO notes the cultural
services department notes three areas must
be addressed before the project moves
forward. First,. - the donation must come
in, second, the county must work with
Goderich and interested stakeholders and
third, the museum will pledge to host the
exhibit at a future date.
After Coun. Bill Dowson (Bluewater)
palled the question, Coun. John Bezaire
(Central Huron) requested a recorded
vote. In the end, all the councillors present
supported the motion as read.
