The Habitat for Humanity ReStore
had a great Christmas rush, accord-
ing to Executive Director Kevin
Morrison.
"We've had a. lot of high quality
decorations come in," he said, add-
ing that the store was able to offer
some great deals on everything for
the holidays, including trees, figu-
rines, and holiday music.
The store is now closed for the
holidays, and will re -open on Janu-
ary 5, The store was just short of
$100,000 in sales when they closed
on December 23, and will be reach-
ing for that goal in the new year.
Morrison also hinted at an important
announcement following soon after.
"We're still moving forward with
the build on Parsons Court of course,
but we've got some new things brew-
ing," he said.
Morrison also explained that they
are getting some great responses for
the position of store manager.
"We've had a lot of unique, and
varied applicants," he said.
The position, according to Morri-
son, is going to be a fun but chal-
lenging one.
"It's a fun place to work, but it's
definitely hard work," he said. "I'm
constantly impressed by the dedica-
tion of our team."
Morrison also wanted to clear
the air about some rumours flying
around as to his future, stating that
his job, as executive director, is not
to be running the store.

"This position being open doesn't
mean I'm going to be leaving," he
said. "It just means I'll have more
time to do the things that I'm sup-
posed to be doing. I'll be able to
turn my attention to networking,
and helping to move our new build
forward, as well as look at increas-
ing HFH's building schedule. We're
looking at building more per year,
maybe even moving up to four builds
per annum."
